1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Brianne Willrett, an esteemed resident of
3 Shabbona, Illinois, and a student at Indian Creek High
4 School, has achieved national recognition for exemplary
5 volunteer service by receiving a 2000 Prudential Spirit of
6 Community Award; and
7 WHEREAS, This prestigious award, presented by the
8 Prudential Insurance Company of America in partnership with
9 the National Association of Secondary School Principals,
10 honors young volunteers across America who have demonstrated
11 an extraordinary commitment to serving their communities; and
12 WHEREAS, Brianne Willrett earned this award by giving
13 generously of her time and energy to developing a mentoring
14 program to help junior high school graduates feel safe and
15 secure when they enter high school; and
16 WHEREAS, The success of the State of Illinois, the
17 strength of our communities, and the overall vitality of
18 American society depend, in great measure, upon the
19 dedication of young people like Brianne Willrett, who use
20 their considerable talents and resources to serve other;
21 therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we hereby congratulate and honor Brianne Willrett as a
25 recipient of a Prudential Spirit of Community Award; we
26 recognize her outstanding record of volunteer service, peer
27 leadership, and community spirit, and extend best wishes for
28 her continued success and happiness; and be it further
29 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to Brianne Willrett.
