91_HR0694 LRB9113622CBcb 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The institution of marriage is one of the 3 cornerstones upon which our society is built, and a marriage 4 that has achieved a notable longevity is truly a model for 5 the people of the State of Illinois; and 6 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mr. and Mrs. 7 Raymond F. Bryska of Palos Heights will celebrate the 8 sixtieth anniversary of their marriage; and 9 WHEREAS, Raymond F. Bryska and the former Eleanor A. 10 Bandusky were united in holy matrimony on April 27, 1940; and 11 WHEREAS, Ray and Ellie Bryska were both born in Chicago 12 and lived in the City until thirty years ago when they moved 13 to Palos Heights; Mr. Bryska is a Purple Heart veteran of 14 World War II; he is retired over twenty years; and he served 15 as an alderman in Palos Heights for fifteen years; and 16 WHEREAS, Ray Bryska is secretary for the Palos Lions 17 Club, delivers meals on wheels for Palos Community Hospital, 18 is a reader and commentator for St. Alexander Church, is a 19 member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Palos 20 Heights, and is active in many civic activities; and Ellie 21 Bryska is at Ray's side for all that he does; and 22 WHEREAS, The respect for marriage reaches one of its 23 highest plateaus when a couple such as Ray and Ellie Bryska 24 celebrate their sixtieth wedding anniversary; and 25 WHEREAS, Ray and Ellie Bryska stand as examples of the 26 best of our society, and their love and devotion to each 27 other and to their family and friends serve as a reminder to 28 all that hard work, dedication, and love can make a 29 difference in today's world; therefore, be it 30 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE -2- LRB9113622CBcb 1 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 2 we congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F. Bryska on the 3 occasion of their sixtieth wedding anniversary; that we 4 commend them for achieving a long and happy marriage; and 5 that we wish them happiness and good health in the future; 6 and be it further 7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 8 presented to them as an expression of our respect and esteem.
