1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The art of painting on porcelain requires great
3 skill, extensive training, and artistic ability and produces
4 works of lasting beauty; and
5 WHEREAS, Throughout history, the art of porcelain
6 painting has provided a medium for the preservation of
7 history and culture, and further, has been recognized as a
8 fine art by all of the world's great civilization; and
9 WHEREAS, Growing thousands of American artists have
10 studied, explored, and enhanced the historic skills of
11 porcelain painting adding immeasurably to the cultural
12 enrichment of our nation; and
13 WHEREAS, The efforts of these artists bring rich beauty
14 and expanded dimensions to our national culture for the
15 benefit and enrichment of the lives of all citizens;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we acknowledge that porcelain painting is an art form and
20 that we commend all Illinois residents who are porcelain
21 artists for their fine work and for their contributions to
22 Illinois.
