1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, WHEREAS, The members of this Body are honored
3 to recognize significant milestones in the lives of the
4 people of this State; and
5 WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Mrs. Willie
6 Vera Crenshaw of Chicago, Illinois is celebrating the 99th
7 anniversary of her birth; and
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Crenshaw was born October 31, 1901, in
9 Bucktunna, Mississippi, to Margie Isaac Powe; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Crenshaw married Wilmer G. Crenshaw in
11 1918; they had one son, Edward; and
12 WHEREAS, Mrs. Crenshaw moved into the Ida Wells
13 Apartments, on September 8, 1965, over 35 years ago; she
14 still resides at this address; therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17 we congratulate Mrs. Willie Vera Crenshaw on the occasion of
18 her birthday and extend to her our sincere best wishes for
19 the future; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to Mrs. Willie Vera Crenshaw as an expression of
22 our respect and esteem.
