1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the
3 Boy Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of
4 Eagle Scout; and
5 WHEREAS, Kevin Harrison Miller of Boy Scout Troop 91 in
6 Troy recently received the Eagle Scout Award; and
7 WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young
8 man must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a
9 willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in
10 camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and
11 WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Kevin Harrison Miller
12 joins an elite and honorable fraternity of achievers that
13 counts among its members an extraordinary number of this
14 nation's great leaders in business, government, education,
15 and other sectors of society; and
16 WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout
17 reflects favorably upon the recipient, his justly proud
18 family, his Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be
19 it
20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
22 we join his family and friends in congratulating Kevin
23 Harrison Miller upon attaining the coveted rank of Eagle
24 Scout and commend him upon the unswerving dedication to
25 excellence that is the hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it
26 further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Eagle Scout Kevin Harrison Miller as an
29 expression of our respect and esteem.
