1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, THe Lesbian Community Cancer Project (LCCP) will
3 celebrate its 10th anniversary with the Coming Out Against
4 Cancer benefit on January 20, 2000; and
5 WHEREAS, LCCP is a not-for-profit Illinois corporation
6 that provides services and support to women with health care
7 needs, especially lesbians who are living with cancer; and
8 WHEREAS, LCCP serves ALL women, regardless of sexual
9 orientation, age, race, income, disability or health history
10 in an attempt to focus on prevention and early detection of
11 cancer and other illnesses; and
12 WHEREAS, LCCP serves hundreds of women annually through
13 its clinics and touches thousands with its outreach efforts;
14 therefore, be it
15 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
16 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
17 we commend the Lesbian Community Cancer Project for their
18 outreach and caring; and we congratulate them on the occasion
19 of their tenth anniversary; and be it further
20 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21 presented to the Lesbian Community Cancer Project.
