1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor citizens of the State of
4 Illinois; and
5 WHEREAS, Representative Edgar Lopez is one such
6 individual; Representative Lopez has served in the Illinois
7 House of Representatives with distinction since 1993; and
8 WHEREAS, Representative Lopez is from the Fourth District
9 in Chicago; he has served as the Majority Conference Chair
10 and the Democratic Caucus Chair; he has served on the
11 Appropriations-Education Committee, the Appropriations-Higher
12 Education Committee, the Committee of the Whole, the
13 Executive Committee, the Higher Education Committee, and the
14 Insurance Committee; and
15 WHEREAS, Representative Lopez was born on April 7, 1964,
16 in Hinsdale, Illinois; he received his Bachelor of Science
17 degree in accounting from Andrews University; he and his wife
18 Lilly have two children; and
19 WHEREAS, Representative Lopez will best be remembered for
20 his hard work on helping to organize Governor Ryan's historic
21 goodwill trip to Cuba; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we thank Representative Edgar Lopez for his hard work and
25 dedication to the people of the State of Illinois and wish
26 him well in his future endeavors; and be it further
27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
28 presented to Representative Edgar Lopez, along with our
29 sincere regards.
