1 AN ACT to amend the Conveyances Act by changing Section
2 30.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Conveyances Act is amended by changing
6 Section 30 as follows:
7 (765 ILCS 5/30) (from Ch. 30, par. 29)
8 Sec. 30. Effect of recording. All deeds, mortgages,
9 assignments, mortgage releases, mortgage modifications, land
10 equity loans, liens, lis pendens, memoranda of judgement, and
11 other instruments in of writing that affect interests in real
12 property and that which are authorized to be recorded, shall
13 take effect and be in force from and after the time of filing
14 the same for record, and not before, as to all creditors and
15 subsequent purchasers, without notice; and all these such
16 deeds and title papers shall be adjudged void as to all such
17 creditors and subsequent purchasers, without notice, until
18 the same shall be filed for record.

20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
