1 AN ACT to amend the Election Code by changing Section
2 9-8.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
6 Section 9-8 as follows:
7 (10 ILCS 5/9-8) (from Ch. 46, par. 9-8)
8 Sec. 9-8. Any political committee which that solicits or
9 receives contributions or makes expenditures on behalf of any
10 candidate that is not authorized in writing by such candidate
11 to do so shall include a notice on the face or front page of
12 all literature and advertisements published and following all
13 commercials broadcast, in connection with such candidate's
14 campaign by such committee or on its behalf stating that the
15 committee is not authorized by such candidate and that such
16 candidate is not responsible for the activities of such
17 committee.
