1 AN ACT to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 by
2 adding Section 110-2.5.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
6 amended by adding Section 110-2.5 as follows:
7 (725 ILCS 5/110-2.5 new)
8 Sec. 110-2.5. Surety companies. A surety company
9 licensed under the Illinois Insurance Code or authorized to
10 transact business in this State under that Code may act as
11 surety for a defendant admitted to bail.
