91_SR0015 LRB9101587CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of this Body were saddened to learn 3 of the death of John A. Sestak of Springfield on Friday, 4 January 15, 1999; and 5 WHEREAS, Born in Thayer, the son of Thomas and Helen 6 Bednar Sestak, he married Mary Celine Kruzick; and 7 WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Virden High School and a 8 veteran of the United States Army during World War II; and 9 WHEREAS, Mr. Sestak was employed by City, Water, Light 10 and Power, retiring in 1987; he was a member of the Cathedral 11 of the Immaculate Conception and a member of the Knights of 12 Columbus Council 364; and 13 WHEREAS, His passing will be deeply felt by his family 14 and friends, especially his wife, Mary; his sons, John, 15 Andrew, and Thomas; his daughters, Vicki Stalcup, Mary 16 Elizabeth Sestak, and Joan Sestak; his daughters-in-law, 17 Kathy, Cari, and Laura; his son-in-law, Steve Stalcup; 11 18 grandchildren; his brother, Dr. Michael E. Sestak; and his 19 sisters, Elizabeth Sestak and Helen Nardi; therefore, be it 20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 21 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 22 and regret the death of John A. Sestak and extend our sincere 23 condolences to his family and friends; and be it further 24 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 25 presented to his widow, Mary Sestak.
