91_SR0021 LRB9102875KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Rosie N. "Rose" Rhyan of North 4 Chicago, Illinois; and 5 WHEREAS, Rose Rhyan was born in Slayden, Mississippi on 6 August 1, 1923; her parents were Frank and Leeanna Franklin; 7 she was a member of Rehoboth Church of God & Christ, under 8 the pastorate of Elder Eugene Jones; as a member she served 9 on the Mothers Board; and 10 WHEREAS, Rose Rhyan worked at Lighting Products in 11 Highland Park and then worked for Johnson Motors in Waukegan, 12 retiring after 10 years of employment; and 13 WHEREAS, Rose Rhyan is survived by her daughters, Frances 14 (Robert C.) Williams, Effie (Johnny) Wroten, Leedora Rhyan, 15 Romena "Sandy" Rhyan, Janie "Gina" Rhyan, and Antoinette 16 "Toni" (Michael) Gibbs; her sons, Andrew Rhyan, and Tommie 17 (Myra) Rhyan; her 32 grandchildren; her many 18 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her 19 sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; her friends, Freddie 20 Davis and Brother Garfield Grace, Jr.; her nieces, nephews, 21 and many friends; therefore, be it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 24 her family and friends, the death of Rosie "Rose" Rhyan of 25 North Chicago; may they find peace and comfort in this time 26 of need; and be it further 27 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 28 presented to the family of Rosie Rhyan.
