91_SR0154 LRB9106980CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the death of Mrs. Marion Butler of Smithville, 4 Mississippi, formerly of Zion, on Tuesday, May 18, 1999; and 5 WHEREAS, She was born in Sexsmith, Alberta, Canada, on 6 January 10, 1927 and moved to Zion in 1945 after she and 7 Jesse Butler were married on October 16, 1945; and 8 WHEREAS, She was an active member of Memorial United 9 Methodist Church in Zion, where she taught Sunday School, was 10 active in the Erickson Circle, and worked the kitchen for 11 many church activities; and 12 WHEREAS, She and her husband co-owned and operated Butler 13 Electric Motor Repair in Zion; she did volunteer work for 14 Northpoint Achievement Center and she was a scout leader for 15 many years; she was a director for Meals-on-Wheels; and 16 WHEREAS, Her passing will be deeply felt by her family 17 and friends, especially her husband, Jesse; her children, 18 Lynn Demiglio, Janice Pye, Edward Butler, and Sandy 19 Swenson-Butler; her sons-in-law, Patrick Demiglio and Dan 20 Pye; her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Swenson-Butler; her 21 grandchildren, Michael, Tracy, Jim, Jason, Tim, Jeremy, 22 Darcy, Patrick, Lisa, Jesse, Joshua, Rebecca, and 23 Christopher; and her great-grandchildren, Brittnee, Ryan, 24 Destiny, Dylan, Kyle, and Dakota; therefore, be it 25 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 26 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 27 and regret the death of Mrs. Marion Butler and extend our 28 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it 29 further 30 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 31 presented to her husband, Jesse Butler.
