91_SR0242 LRB9110375KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to send 3 their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Thomas 4 Fegan, Sr., who recently passed away; and 5 WHEREAS, Thomas Fegan, Sr. spent 10 years working 6 full-time at Western Union and going to school at Loyola 7 University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree and his law 8 degree; and 9 WHEREAS, Thomas Fegan, Sr. served in the Army Air Corps 10 during World War II, serving as a military lawyer in Alaska; 11 after the war, he went to work for Prudential Insurance 12 Company; Mr. Fegan helped the company negotiate the 13 construction of the building at 1 Prudential Plaza, the 14 company's landmark building in Chicago; and 15 WHEREAS, Thomas Fegan, Sr. joined the Equitable Life 16 Assurance Society, now a part of AXA Financial Inc., in 17 1952; he transferred to the company's New York headquarters 18 in 1965; he moved to Oak Lawn in 1978 upon his retirement as 19 a vice president; and 20 WHEREAS, In addition to his many other projects, Mr. 21 Fegan also worked on the Ford City shopping mall; and 22 WHEREAS, Thomas Fegan, Sr. is survived by his children, 23 John Fegan, Dorothy Mrumlinksi, Thomas Fegan, Jr., James 24 Fegan, and Kathleen Warren, and his 13 grandchildren; 25 therefore, be it 26 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 27 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we extend our 28 sympathies to the family and friends of Thomas Fegan, Sr. of 29 Oak Lawn, Illinois; may they find comfort in this time of 30 loss; and be it further -2- LRB9110375KBkb 1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 2 presented to the family of Thomas Fegan, Sr.
