91_SR0316 LRB9113528KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 3 express their sincere condolences to the family and friends 4 of James Robert Kirby, who recently passed away; and 5 WHEREAS, James Kirby was born in Virginia, Illinois, on 6 May 5, 1933; his parents were Clinton and Verna Caywood 7 Kirby; on December 15, 1955, at the First United Presbyterian 8 Church in Monmouth, Illinois, he married Martha Ann Thompson; 9 and 10 WHEREAS, James Kirby was a farmer, working north of 11 Little York for 40 years; he was an active member of the 12 Faith United Presbyterian Church; he was a member of the 13 Monmouth Masonic Lodge, AF&AM, the Monmouth Country Club, and 14 the Monmouth Elks Club; he was past president of the Warren 15 County Prime Beef Festival, and past chairman of the Warren 16 County Republican Committee; and 17 WHEREAS, James Kirby is survived by his sons, Jay (Julie) 18 and Doug (Carly); his four grandchildren; his sisters, 19 Clintine Hughes and Emalee Payne; and several nieces and 20 nephews; therefore, be it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 23 all that knew him, the death of James Kirby of Little York, 24 Illinois; and be it further 25 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 26 presented to the family of James Kirby.
