 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn
 3    of the recent death of Marion E. Dysert, a former chairman of
 4    the  Vermilion  County  Board  and  former  Vermilion  County
 5    treasurer; and

 6        WHEREAS, Mr. Dysert was the youngest township  supervisor
 7    in the county when he was elected to that position in Oakwood
 8    Township  in  1959 and he served in that capacity until 1989;
 9    and

10        WHEREAS, He also served  as  chairman  of  the  Vermilion
11    County Board of Review from 1972 until 1981; and

12        WHEREAS,  Mr. Dysert served as county board chairman from
13    1972 until he left the board in 1978; he served on the county
14    board for 19 years; and

15        WHEREAS, On October 13, 1987, Mr. Dysert was appointed to
16    succeed as county treasurer; he was elected to the office  in
17    1988 and held that position until 1990; and

18        WHEREAS,  A  veteran  of World War II, Mr. Dysert and his
19    wife, Faye, farmed near Fithian before retiring from  farming
20    in 1987; and

21        WHEREAS,  Mr. Dysert was active in numerous organizations
22    in Vermilion County, including the Oakwood  United  Methodist
23    Church,  the  Vermilion County Farm Bureau, and the Vermilion
24    County Museum Society; and

25        WHEREAS, Mr. Dysert was the grandson of Fred L. Endicott,
26    who also served as Vermilion County treasurer in  the  1930s;
27    and

28        WHEREAS,  The  passing  of  Marion Dysert will the deeply
29    felt by all, especially his wife, Faye; therefore, be it

 1        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-FIRST  GENERAL
 2    ASSEMBLY  OF  THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow
 3    and regret the death of  Marion  E.  Dysert  and  extend  our
 4    sincere  condolences  to  his  family  and friends; and be it
 5    further

 6        RESOLVED, A suitable copy of  this  resolution  shall  be
 7    presented to his widow, Faye Dysert.
