91_SR0352 LRB9113875CBcb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate were saddened to learn 3 of the recent death of Cecelia E. Tokar of Chicago; and 4 WHEREAS, Mrs. Tokar was the wife of the late George 5 Tokar; she was the owner of Tokar's Supper Club from 1953 to 6 1978 and past owner of the Homestead Restaurant; she was the 7 first pianist on live radio in Detroit, Michigan; and 8 WHEREAS, Mrs. Tokar was a loving mother and a proud 9 grandmother; and 10 WHEREAS, The passing of Cecelia E. Tokar will be deeply 11 felt by her family and friends, especially her son and 12 daughter-in-law, Charles and Janice Tokar; her grandson, 13 Charlie; her aunts and uncles, Dr. Edward and Lucia Grodecki, 14 Frank Wojlas, and Louise; her godchild, Edziu Grodecki; her 15 nieces and nephews, Corky and Bea Tokar, Art and Opie Wojlas, 16 Bob and Jackie Wojlas, Judy and Robert Cox, Ron and Jill 17 Wojlas, and Donna Tokar; her cousins, Gladys, Chel, Joe, 18 Mary, Carol, Jan, Mary, Vicid, Kasla, Lou, Frank, and Mike; 19 and her sisters-in-law, Margaret and Antoinette Tokar; 20 therefore, be it 21 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 22 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we note with sorrow 23 and regret the death of Mrs. Cecelia E. Tokar and extend our 24 sincere condolences to her family and friends; and be it 25 further 26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 27 presented to her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janice 28 Tokar.
