91_SR0410 LRB9114470KBkb 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Johnny Jones, Jr., of Chicago, 4 Illinois, who recently passed away; and 5 WHEREAS, Johnny Jones, Jr. was born on September 19, 6 1950; his parents are Johnny Jones, Sr. and Alnettie Jones; 7 Johnny Jones was educated at Foster School in Chicago; and 8 WHEREAS, Johnny Jones, Jr. was a believer in Jesus 9 Christ; in 1975 he met and married Annie Simmons; and 10 WHEREAS, Johnny Jones, Jr. was devoted to his family, 11 especially his mother; he was a special uncle to his nephews 12 and nieces; and 13 WHEREAS, Johnny Jones, Jr. is survived by his parents; 14 his sons, Johnny Jones, Jr. III, Charles Jones, Johnny 15 (Sandy) Stewart, and Don Simmons; his daughters, Lisa Simmons 16 and Leinette Stewart; his brothers, Reverend Joseph (Jeannie) 17 Jones, Percy Jones, and George (Marettie) Jones; his sisters, 18 Derethia (James) Stigler, Susie Lowe, Neomia Simmons, Dorthy 19 (Elue) Love, Georgia (Lonnie) Newton, and Elsie (Lonnie) 20 Felters; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and 21 his many friends; therefore, be it 22 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIRST GENERAL 23 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 24 all that knew and loved him, the death of Johnny Jones, Jr., 25 of Chicago, Illinois; and be it further 26 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 27 presented to the family of Johnny Jones, Jr.
