HAMOS. (SILVERSTEIN-DELEO) 35 ILCS 200/21-385 35 ILCS 200/22-15 35 ILCS 200/22-20 Amends the Property Tax Code. In counties of 3,000,000 or more inhabitants, allows a taxing district that is the tax deed petitioner to move for the appointment of a special process server of at least 18 years of age to serve notice of the property tax sale and the expiration and extension of the property's redemption period. Provides that the special process server shall make a return of the notice by filing an affidavit with the court clerk for the court record. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 65 ILCS 5/11-31-2 from Ch. 24, par. 11-31-2 765 ILCS 35/100 from Ch. 30, par. 137 765 ILCS 35/102 from Ch. 30, par. 139 765 ILCS 35/102.3 new Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that in the event a receiver appointed to bring a structure into code compliance completes a feasibility study which finds that the property cannot be economically brought into compliance, the receiver may petition the court for, and, if certain conditions are met, the court may order reimbursement for the cost of the feasibility study from the Receivership Feasibility Study and Fee Fund. Provides that the court shall order the receiver to reimburse the fund to the extent that the receiver is reimbursed upon foreclosure of the receiver's lien upon sale of the property. Amends the Registered Titles (Torrens) Act. Provides that, within 30 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 91st General Assembly, the county treasurer shall transfer $250,000 from the indemnity fund to the Receivership Feasibility Study and Fee Fund, a special fund created in the county treasury to be used for reimbursements to receivers as provided in the Illinois Municipal Code.
