Increases the maximum compensation of members of the Cook County Sheriff's Merit Board to $25,000 (now $10,000) per fiscal year. Increases the Chairman's maximum compensation to $30,000 per fiscal year (now, the Chairman receives the same compensation as other Board members). Provides that Board members shall receive any general wage adjustment granted by the county for any fiscal year. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. HOUSE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Further amends the Counties Code. Increases the membership of the Cook County Sheriff's Merit Board from 7 to 9 members. Deletes the provision that members of the Board shall receive any general wage adjustment granted by the county for any fiscal year. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Adds reference to: 70 ILCS 2605/4 Amends the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Act. Increases the salary of the president of the board of commissioners to $60,000 (now, $50,000); the salaries of the vice-president of the board and the chairman of the committee on finance to $55,000 (now, $45,000); and the salaries of all other commissioners to $50,000 (now, $40,000).
