WELCH. 815 ILCS 505/2JJ new Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Provides that it is an unlawful practice for a retailer to advertise the availability of a manufacturer's rebate by displaying the net price of the advertised item in the advertisement unless the amount of the manufacturer's rebate is discounted from the purchase price of the advertised item at the time of sale to the consumer.
