Allows certain members of the county department of corrections to purchase up to 3 years of service credit for periods spent on leave of absence to serve as an officer of an employee association serving police or corrections officers. Requires application by July 1, 2000. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.
