WALSH,T. New Act Creates the Construction Contract Indemnification for Employee Injury Act. Provides that, in public or private construction contracts, every agreement to indemnify another person against loss or injury to one's employee in excess of the damages, compensation or benefits payable by or for the employer under "workers' compensation acts, disability benefit acts, or other employee benefits acts" actually paid or payable for or on behalf of the employer is void and unenforceable. Provides that the Act applies only to contracts or agreements entered into after its effective date.
