INC TX-BASIC EXEMPTION INCREAS                                             

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act.  For taxable years ending  on      
   or after December 31, 2001 and before December 31, 2002, increases the      
   basic  amount  of  the  standard  exemption  to  $2,250  (now $2,000).      
   Increases the basic amount to $2,500 for taxable years  ending  on  or      
   after December 31, 2002.
