Short description: TELECOMMUNICATIONS TAXES Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Use Tax Act, Service Use Tax Act, Service Occupation Tax Act, and Retailers' Occupation Tax Act to impose a tax upon pre- paid calling card arrangements beginning January 1, 2001. Amends the Telecommunications Excise Tax Act and the Illinois Municipal Code to exclude prepaid calling card arrangements from the telecommunications taxes beginning January 1, 2001. Effective immediately.
