Senate Sponsors: PARKER. Short description: EMS-CRIMINAL HISTORY CHK Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems Act. Provides that, beginning January 1, 2000, all initial applicants and, beginning July 1, 2000, all applicants for renewal shall submit to a fingerprint-based criminal history record check conducted by the Department of State Police. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall not issue a license or renewal of a license to an in- dividual who has been convicted of committing or attempting to commit certain offenses, unless the applicant or licensee obtains a waiver.
