Allows a municipality to cause the removal of petroleum products from an unsafe building. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 1. Deletes everything. Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Allows a municipality to environmentally remediate petroleum products on, in, or under any abandoned and unsafe property in the municipality. SENATE AMENDMENT NO. 2. Adds reference to: 65 ILCS 5/11-31.1-1 from Ch. 24, par. 11-31.1-1 Further amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that a municipal Code Hearing Department may prosecute violations of any municipal ordinance that requires, after notice, the cutting of weeds, the removal of garbage and debris, the removal of inoperable motor vehicles, or the abatement of nuisance from private property.
