92_HB0152ham001 HRS92HB0152LHlram01 1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 152 2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 152 as follows: 3 on page 1, by replacing lines 16 through 24 with the 4 following: 5 "Sec. 4c. Children 4 years of age or older but under the 6 age of 10 and weighing 40 pounds or more but not more than 80 7 pounds; children 4 years of age or older but under the age of 8 10 and less than 4 feet 9 inches in height. Every person, 9 when transporting a child 4 years of age or older but under 10 the age of 10 and weighing 40 pounds or more but not more 11 than 80 pounds, or when transporting a child 4 years of age 12 or older but under the age of 10 and less than 4 feet 9 13 inches in height, as provided in Section 4 of this Act, is 14 responsible for securing that child in a child booster seat 15 and a federally approved lap-and-shoulder belt system. The 16 parent or legal guardian of a child 4 years of age or older 17 but under the age of 10 and weighing 40 pounds or more but 18 not more than 80 pounds, or of a child 4 years of age or 19 older but under the age of 10 and less than 4 feet 9 inches 20 in height, must provide a child booster seat"; and 21 on page 2, line 14, after "older", by inserting "but under 22 the age of 10".
