1 AN ACT in relation to child care.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
5 adding Section 4.5 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 10/4.5 new)
7 Sec. 4.5. Drug testing. A foster parent shall submit to
8 drug testing in a manner established by the Department (i)
9 before obtaining a license to operate a foster family home,
10 (ii) before each child is placed within the foster family
11 home, and (iii) randomly after a child is placed within the
12 foster family home.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
14 January 1, 2002.
