1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 190
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 190 on page 2, line
3 3, before "the", by inserting the following:
4 "The increase in the minimum term and minimum number of days
5 of actual pupil attendance made by this amendatory Act of the
6 92nd General Assembly as provided in the schedule begins with
7 the 2002-2003 school year. However, if a school board, on
8 the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 92nd General
9 Assembly, is acting under a collective bargaining agreement
10 with its exclusive bargaining representative, then the
11 increase does not begin until the school year after the
12 expiration of the collective bargaining agreement, at which
13 time the school board shall meet the minimum term and minimum
14 number of days of actual pupil attendance set forth in the
15 schedule beginning with that school year. A school board is
16 not required to increase the minimum term and minimum number
17 of days of actual pupil attendance as provided by this
18 amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly unless the school
19 district receives an increase in State aid in an amount at
20 least equal to the cost to be incurred by the school district
21 to increase the minimum term and minimum number of days of
22 actual pupil attendance.".
