1 AN ACT to amend the Conveyances Act by changing Section
2 30.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Conveyances Act is amended by changing
6 Section 30 as follows:
7 (765 ILCS 5/30) (from Ch. 30, par. 29)
8 Sec. 30. Effect of recording. All deeds, mortgages,
9 contracts for deed, memoranda of agreement for deed,
10 agreements for deed, and other instruments in of writing that
11 affect interests in real property and that which are
12 authorized to be recorded, shall take effect and be in force
13 from and after the time of filing the same for record, and
14 not before, as to all creditors and subsequent purchasers,
15 without notice; and all these such deeds and title papers
16 shall be adjudged void as to all such creditors and
17 subsequent purchasers, without notice, until the same shall
18 be filed for record.

20 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
