1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 659
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 659 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 13 through 17 with the following:
4 "long-term care planning committee which shall consist of the
5 following members: the Director of Aging, or his or her
6 designee, who shall chair and convene the committee; the
7 Director of Public Health or his or her designee; an owner of
8 a long-term care facility, who shall be appointed to the
9 committee by the Director of Public Health; a representative
10 of the American Association of Retired Persons, who shall be
11 appointed to the committee by the Director of Aging; and a
12 representative of Area Agencies on Aging, who shall be
13 appointed to the committee by the Director of Aging. The";
14 and
15 on page 1, line 24 by inserting "family caregivers," after
16 "services,"; and
17 on page 2, by replacing lines 10 through 13 with the
18 following:
19 "(1) Evaluate the effectiveness of Area Agencies on
20 Aging in planning and coordinating regional and local
21 services.
22 (2) Evaluate the effectiveness of regional or local
23 points of"; and

1 on page 3, line 2 by changing "Develop a" to "Strengthen
2 the"; and
3 by deleting lines 22 through 31 of page 4 and all of pages 5
4 through 11.
