1 AN ACT making appropriations to the Teachers Retirement
2 System.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The following amounts, or so much thereof as
6 may be necessary, resepctively, are appropriated to the
7 Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois for the
8 State's Contribution, as provided by law:
9 Payable from the Common School Fund......... $480,735,000
10 Payable from the Education Assistance Fund.. 275,000,000
11 Total, this Section......................... $755,735,000
12 Section 10. The amount of $44,042,000, or so much
13 thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General
14 Revenue Fund to the Teachers' Retirement System of the State
15 of Illinois for transfer into the Teachers' Health Insurance
16 Security Fund as the State's Contribution for teachers'
17 health benefits.
18 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
19 July 1, 2001.
