92_HB1206eng HB1206 Engrossed LRB9206500DJgc 1 AN ACT in relation to veterans. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Children of Deceased Veterans Act is 5 amended by changing Section 2 as follows: 6 (330 ILCS 105/2) (from Ch. 126 1/2, par. 27) 7 Sec. 2. Payments to institutions; eligibility if 8 children. The amounts that become due to any educational or 9 training institution, or any child under this Act, not in 10 excess of the amount specified in Section 1 of this Act, 11 shall be payable to such institution or school or child or, 12 if such child is a minor, to his parent or guardian on 13 vouchers approved by the Illinois Department of Veterans' 14 Affairs. Such Department shall determine the eligibility of 15 the children who make application for the benefits provided 16 for in this Act; satisfy itself of the attendance of such 17 children at any such institution or school and of the 18 accuracy and reasonableness of the charge or charges 19 submitted, on account of the attendance thereat of any such 20 children. 21 (Source: P.A. 85-1440.)
