92_HB1722eng HB1722 Engrossed LRB9206241NTks 1 AN ACT concerning higher education. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by 5 adding Section 8b as follows: 6 (110 ILCS 305/8b new) 7 Sec. 8b. Report decline in enrollment. If student 8 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the 9 Board of Trustees shall report the reason for the decline to 10 the Board of Higher Education, and the Board of Higher 11 Education shall annually report this information to the 12 General Assembly. 13 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management 14 Act is amended by adding Section 8e-5 as follows: 15 (110 ILCS 520/8e-5 new) 16 Sec. 8e-5. Report decline in enrollment. If student 17 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the 18 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the Board 19 of Higher Education, and the Board of Higher Education shall 20 annually report this information to the General Assembly. 21 Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended 22 by adding Section 5-87 as follows: 23 (110 ILCS 660/5-87 new) 24 Sec. 5-87. Report decline in enrollment. The Governors State University Law is 11 amended by adding Section 15-87 as follows: 12 (110 ILCS 670/15-87 new) 13 Sec. 15-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student 14 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the 15 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the Board 16 of Higher Education, and the Board of Higher Education shall 17 annually report this information to the General Assembly. 18 Section 30. The Illinois State University Law is amended 19 by adding Section 20-87 as follows: 20 (110 ILCS 675/20-87 new) 21 Sec. 20-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student 22 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the 23 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the Board 24 of Higher Education, and the Board of Higher Education shall 25 annually report this information to the General Assembly. 26 Section 35. The Western Illinois University Law is 16 amended by adding Section 35-87 as follows: 17 (110 ILCS 690/35-87 new) 18 Sec. 35-87. Report decline in enrollment. If student 19 enrollment at the University declines by more than 10%, the 20 Board shall report the reason for the decline to the Board of 21 Higher Education, and the Board of Higher Education shall 22 annually report this information to the General Assembly.
