92_HB1813gms STATE OF ILLINOIS OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR SPRINGFIELD, 62706 GEORGE H. RYAN GOVERNOR June 28, 2001 To the Honorable Members of the Illinois House of Representatives 92nd General Assembly Pursuant to Article IV, Section 9(b) of the Illinois Constitution of 1970, I hereby veto House Bill 1813 entitled "AN ACT regarding taxes." While the substantive provisions of House Bill 1813 are sound, there are inaccurate section references with respect to the imposed taxes. I have already signed Senate Bill 539, which contains the same provisions as House Bill 1813, without the technical section errors. As a consequence, House Bill 1813 is unnecessary legislation and would create confusion if enacted. For this reason, I hereby veto and return House Bill 1813. Sincerely, s/GEORGE H. RYAN Governor
