1 AN ACT relating to allied health care.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Allied Health Care Professional
5 Assistance Law is amended by changing Section 2004 as
6 follows:
7 (110 ILCS 905/2004) (from Ch. 144, par. 1484)
8 Sec. 2004. Grants and scholarships; rules.
9 (a) The Department may establish a program of grants and
10 scholarships to be awarded to eligible allied health care
11 professionals, subject to amounts appropriated for that
12 purpose, and may award grants and scholarships to those such
13 persons in order to accomplish the purposes expressed in
14 Section 2002. The Department shall adopt criteria for the
15 awarding of grants and scholarships under this Law, including
16 standards of financial need.
17 (b) The Department also shall adopt all rules and
18 regulations necessary to implement the provisions of this
19 Law.
