1 AN ACT in relation to assisted living.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
5 amended by changing Section 145 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 9/145)
7 Sec. 145. Conversion of facilities; exemption from
8 review. Entities licensed as facilities under the Nursing
9 Home Care Act may elect to convert to a license under this
10 Act. Any facility that chooses to convert, in whole or in
11 part, shall follow the requirements in the Nursing Home Care
12 Act and rules promulgated under that Act regarding voluntary
13 closure and notice to residents. Any conversion of existing
14 beds licensed under the Nursing Home Care Act to licensure
15 under this Act is exempt from review by the Health Facilities
16 Planning Board.
