1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3124
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3124 by replacing
3 the title with the following:
4 "AN ACT concerning elections."; and
5 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
6 following:
7 "Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
8 Section 1-1 as follows:
9 (10 ILCS 5/1-1) (from Ch. 46, par. 1-1)
10 Sec. 1-1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
11 Election Code. This Act is the general election law of
12 Illinois and any reference in any other Act to "the general
13 election law" or "the general election law of this State" is
14 a reference to this Act, as now or hereafter amended.
