1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3377
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3377, on page 1,
3 line 14, by replacing "University" with "University of
4 Illinois"; and
5 on page 1, line 21, after the period, by inserting the
6 following:
7 "Research will include finding high producing, high quality
8 varieties with a zero level of THC. In addition, concurrent
9 research conducted by Western Illinois University shall
10 address the potential impact of commercial production of
11 industrial hemp on law enforcement, including, but not
12 limited to, the impact on the State's crime laboratory
13 system."; and
14 on page 1, line 21, by replacing "University" with
15 "University of Illinois"; and
16 On page 1, line 24, immediately after the period, by
17 inserting the following:
18 "All research conducted by the University of Illinois and by
19 Western Illinois University under this Section is subject to
20 the availability of funding, which will be sought by both
21 institutions from federal, private, corporate, and other
22 sources other than the State of Illinois."; and

1 on page 1, by replacing lines 30 and 31 with the following:
2 "Assembly."; and
3 on page 2, by deleting line 1.
