1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3464
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 3464, by deleting
3 everything after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu
4 thereof the following:
5 "Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
6 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects
7 and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated to the
8 Illinois Medical District Commission:
9 Payable from General Revenue Fund:
10 For Personal Services......................... $ 328,000
11 For Employee Retirement Contributions
12 Paid by Employer ............................ 13,100
13 For State Contributions to the State
14 Employees' Retirement System ................ 32,800
15 For State Contributions to
16 Social Security.............................. 24,500
17 For Contractual Services ..................... 275,000
18 For Operation of Chicago Technology
19 Park Research Center and for
20 Development and Operation of the
21 Chicago Technology Park within the
22 Medical Center District ..................... 116,900
23 Total $790,300
24 Section 2. The sum of $162,800, or so much thereof as
25 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
26 Fund to the Illinois Medical District Commission for repairs,

1 maintenance, and site improvements within the Medical Center
2 District, City of Chicago.
3 Section 3. The sum of $200,000, or so much thereof as
4 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
5 Fund to the Illinois Medical District Commission for site
6 development and maintenance of the Illinois Medical District
7 Development Area.
8 Section 4. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as
9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Capital
10 Development Fund to the Illinois Medical District Commission
11 for acquisition of property, demolition and site
12 improvements, and related costs within the Medical Center
13 District, City of Chicago for Phase IV of District
14 Development Initiative.
15 Section 5. The sum of $3,312,987, or so much thereof as
16 may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of
17 business on June 30, 2001 from appropriations heretofore made
18 in Article 15, Sections 4 and 5 of Public Act 91-076, is
19 reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the
20 Illinois Medical District Commission for acquisition of
21 property, demolition and site improvements, and related costs
22 within the Medical Center District, City of Chicago for Phase
23 III and IV of District Development Initiative.
24 Section 6. No contract shall be entered into or
25 obligation incurred for any expenditures from appropriations
26 in Sections 2, 3 and 4 of this Article until the purposes and
27 amounts have been approved in writing by the Governor.
28 Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect July
29 1, 2001.".
