92_HB4073eng HB4073 Engrossed LRB9212482LDtmA 1 AN ACT in relation to criminal law. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding 5 Section 32-5.2a as follows: 6 (720 ILCS 5/32-5.2a new) 7 Sec. 32-5.2a. False police badges. A person who 8 manufactures, sells, exhibits for sale, or offers for sale, 9 an identification card or badge of a police organization, or 10 a colorable imitation of an identification card or badge of a 11 police organization, knowing that his or her conduct is not 12 authorized by that organization, commits a Class 4 felony. 13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 14 becoming a law.
