1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4187
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 4187 on page 6, by
3 deleting lines 27 through 30; and
4 on page 9, by replacing lines 2 through 9 with the following:
5 "(D-15) For taxable years beginning on or
6 after January 1, 2002, in the case of a distribution
7 from a qualified tuition program under Section 529
8 of the Internal Revenue Code, other than (i) a
9 distribution from a College Savings Pool created
10 under Section 16.5 of the State Treasurer Act or
11 (ii) a distribution from the Illinois Prepaid
12 Tuition Trust Fund, an amount equal to the amount
13 excluded from gross income under Section
14 529(c)(3)(B);"; and
15 on page 15, by replacing lines 17 through 20 with the
16 following:
17 "16.5 of the State Treasurer Act, except that
18 amounts excluded from gross income under Section
19 529(c)(3)(i) of the Internal Revenue Code shall not
20 be considered moneys contributed under this
21 subparagraph (Y). This subparagraph (Y) is exempt
22 from".
