1 AN ACT concerning the Department on Aging.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5 adding Section 8.10 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 105/8.10 new)
7 Sec. 8.10. Prescription drug information. The Department
8 must establish, operate, and promote awareness of a statewide
9 toll-free telephone number to provide information on programs
10 that provide prescription drugs to Illinois senior citizens
11 without charge or at discounted rates. The Department of
12 Human Services must assist the Department on Aging in
13 collecting and updating the information.
14 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
15 1, 2003.
