1 AN ACT concerning ethics.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Gift Ban Act is amended by changing
5 Section 25 as follows:
6 (5 ILCS 425/25)
7 Sec. 25. Disposition of gifts. The recipient of a gift
8 that is given in violation of this Act may, at the
9 recipient's his or her discretion, return the item to the
10 donor or give the item or an amount equal to its value to an
11 appropriate charity.
