1 AN ACT with regard to schools.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
5 22-23.5 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/22-23.5 new)
7 Sec. 22-23.5. Fence around physical plant building. Any
8 building located on public school grounds that contains
9 physical plant operations (such as heating, cooling,
10 electrical, or water), other than a building in which school
11 is taught or school activities are conducted or a building
12 that contains administrative or other offices, must be
13 surrounded by a fence.
14 Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding
15 Section 8.26 as follows:
16 (30 ILCS 805/8.26 new)
17 Sec. 8.26. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6
18 and 8 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required
19 for the implementation of any mandate created by this
20 amendatory Act of the 92nd General Assembly.
21 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
22 July 1, 2002.
