1 AN ACT concerning professional regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is
5 amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 15/1) (from Ch. 111, par. 5351)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2007)
8 Sec. 1. Policy; short title. The practice of clinical
9 psychology in Illinois is hereby declared to affect the
10 public health, safety and welfare, and to be subject to
11 regulations in the public interest to protect the public from
12 persons who are unauthorized or unqualified to represent
13 themselves as clinical psychologists or as being able to
14 render clinical psychological services as herein defined, and
15 from unprofessional conduct by persons licensed to practice
16 clinical psychology. This Act shall be known and may be
17 cited as the "Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act".
