1 AN ACT relating to education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The State Aid Continuing Appropriation Law is
5 amended by changing Section 15-20 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 235/15-20)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on June 30, 2002)
8 Sec. 15-20. Irrevocable and continuing appropriation.
9 If the General Assembly fails to make Common School Fund
10 appropriations to the State Board of Education in fiscal
11 years 1999 through 2002 sufficient to fund (i) the General
12 State Aid Formula set forth in subsection (E) (Computation of
13 General State Aid) and subsection (H) (Supplemental General
14 State Aid) of Section 18-8.05 of the School Code and (ii) the
15 supplementary payments for school districts set forth in
16 subsection (J) (Supplementary Grants in Aid) of Section
17 18-8.05 of the School Code, this Article shall constitute an
18 irrevocable and continuing appropriation from the Common
19 School Fund of all amounts necessary for those purposes.
