92_HB5509 LRB9211503AGmb 1 AN ACT concerning the military. 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 3 represented in the General Assembly: 4 Section 5. The Military Code of Illinois is amended by 5 changing Section 22-8 as follows: 6 (20 ILCS 1805/22-8) 7 Sec. 22-8. Funds and monies made available by public or 8 private entities. The Department may apply for, receive, 9 expend, allocate, or disburse funds and moneys made available 10 by public or private entities, including, but not limited to, 11 contracts, private or public financial gifts, bequests, 12 grants, or donations from individuals, corporations, or 13 foundations. All funds received by the Department from these 14 sources shall be deposited into the Military Affairs Trust 15 Fund created by this amendatory Act of 1993. All moneys 16 expended by the Department of Military Affairs from this Fund 17 shall be appropriated by the General Assembly for the 18 purposes as indicated by the grantor, donor or, in the case 19 of funds or moneys given or donated for no specific purpose, 20 for any purpose deemed appropriate by the Director in 21 administering the responsibilities of the Department as set 22 forth in thisthe MilitaryCodeof Illinois. 23 (Source: P.A. 88-183.)
