1 AN ACT in relation to education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended
5 by changing and renumbering Section 3.25.2 as follows:
6 (110 ILCS 805/3-25.2) (from Ch. 122, par. 103-25.2)
7 Sec. 3-25.2. Armed forces recruiting and training.
8 3.25.2.
9 (a) To provide, on an equal basis, access to the campus
10 to the official recruiting representatives of the armed
11 forces of Illinois and the United States for the purpose of
12 informing students of the educational and career
13 opportunities available in the military if the board has
14 provided such access to persons or groups whose purpose is to
15 acquaint students with educational or occupational
16 opportunities available to them. The board is not required
17 to give greater notice regarding the right of access to
18 recruiting representatives than is given to other persons and
19 groups.
20 (b) To not bar or exclude from its curriculum, campus,
21 or school facilities any armed forces training program or
22 organization operated under the authority of the United
23 States government because the program or organization
24 complies with rules, regulations, or policies of the United
25 States government or any agency, branch, or department
26 thereof.
